Hey friends! I hope you’re doing well! We recently got back from the beach and I am ready to go back! The Dominican is beautiful!
I promised to share my anxiety journey with you, in hopes that it helps someone else. So here is the latest update! I started a medicine a month ago and in checking in with the doctor today we discussed how I was feeling. I don’t feel any better or different than I did before taking the medicine in question. We made the decision together that it would be best to try something else. She was going to just raise the dosage, but we also have ADHD coming into play for me. With that being my situation, we went ahead and changed the medicine so when we add something else, they work best together.
It is so important to find a doctor you love and trust, I am a newer patient to mine and she has been absolutely amazing in helping me and get me feeling better. Please if you do anything for yourself this year, ADVOCATE for yourself and LISTEN to your body!! The past year has been trying and I am so proud of myself for working through everything. I have an amazing support system and am beyond thankful for that too! It’s OK to be different, and need a little help! If you ever need an ear to listen or a friend to chat with, please reach out to me!
Love you lots, Angie
Thanks for sharing your story. Anxiety seems to be a multi generational problem in my family. I have a T-shirt that says, “Psych meds, Therapy and Jesus.” Mary Katherine Backstrom. That’s how I roll. 💖🦩
I love that!
